Isaba is one of the most representative villages of the Roncal Valley, located in an incomparable natural setting. Its narrow cobbled streets form a charming labyrinth that invites you to lose yourself and discover the beauty of its traditional architecture, with stone houses that seem to have been frozen in time.
Situated on a hillside, Isaba is the gateway to the Belagua Valley, a particularly impressive place in winter due to the snowfalls that cover the landscape.

Roncal cheese, with designation of origin, is one of the star products that you cannot miss during your visit. Throughout the year, Roncal celebrates several festivities that highlight the valley’s traditions, and its privileged location makes it an ideal starting point for exploring the surrounding nature.
Burgui/Burgi
Burgui marks the entrance to the Roncal Valley and is known for its close relationship with the history of the almadieros, the ancient carriers of wood along the rivers. Every spring, this small village celebrates the Day of the Almadieros, a festival that commemorates this ancient tradition.
Burgui is perfect for enjoying the peace and quiet and the Pyrenean landscape, as well as offering a window onto the traditional life of mountain villages. In the surrounding area, you will also find routes that will take you into the heart of the valley.
If you prefer to explore these last three villages more fully, we suggest you follow the Cañada Real de los Roncaleses, a historic route that connects Isaba, Roncal and Burgui.
This old shepherding route allows you not only to enjoy the natural beauty of the Roncal Valley, but also to get to know the tradition and way of life of the shepherds who, for centuries, used this route to guide their flocks from the Pyrenean mountains to the warmer lands to the south.
Following this route is a perfect option to spend a few days in the area and wish to enjoy a complete experience combining nature and culture.
